This image is part of the Camaro ZL1 launch. Jason Pierce at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners was looking for a race track feel with atmosphere. Jim Haefner’s mission was to shoot the top secret vehicle in studio while imitating outdoor lighting. Gecko took on the challenging task of manipulating the car and creating a background that felt real and aggressive yet ambiguous.

Toyota Avalon Interior

We really had to go above and beyond for this image. The dark, harshly lit interior had to be turned into a soft lit, daylight spread sitting in a meadow. We quickly concluded retouching alone wasn’t going to cut this cake. So we found an Avalon nearby, shot the interior at the same angle in soft light, cobbled the parts together to match the original, cut a meadow through the windows and sweetened it all up with a healthy dose of retouching.
